History

LAECA – Latino Americana de Electrificación S.A. was born in Venezuela in 1976.

The company begins as the Latin American subsidiary of Impresa Frate SpA, which already built power lines in Italy in the distant 50s, and then expanded into Africa, the Middle East and finally into the New World.

In the 90s, LAECA acquired its own personality, distinguishing itself as one of the main Venezuelan construction companies that supply the electricity sector. At the same time, the company decided to venture into the international arena, executing several works in Central America and the Caribbean, also undertaking the construction of transmission substations.

During all these years, the organization has evolved both physically and technologically to stay at the forefront of the sector. To such an extent that today, she has in her curriculum, having been one of the executors of the 765 kV lines promoted by the state company EDELCA (CORPOELEC).
